Alectryon excelsus, commonly known as the New Zealand oak or titoki tree, is a species of tree that is native to New Zealand. It has a conical shape when young, but becomes more spreading with age.  Has glossy, dark green leaves. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade, and is often used in landscaping as a specimen tree or in a mixed border.
